How to heal sinus?

First of all, if you are one among, who have a sinus problem, there are a lot of things you can do at home to make a difference. Before knowing the ways to cure sinus, you must know that sinus are of two types-acute and chronic. And some of the simple and inexpensive ways to heal your sinus are:

1) Keep your environment cool:

If heat is on, your nose gets dry, and a dry nose leads to more sinus problem. There is no ideal temperature to suggest, but let you nose decide your indoor temperature range. If you don’t wake up with bleeding nose and congestion then that is probably a good temperature.

2) Flush your nasal passage:

A saline wash thins mucus and helps flush it out of the nasal passage. Saline washes have been studied and proven to be effective. If you have sinus problems, use saline solution via the neti pot or other device to keep the sinuses moist, and to keep the sinuses moist, and to double up when you are fighting a cold or allergies.

Bromelain is a protein found in pineapple stems. It’s been used by prize fighters to reduce swelling. Bromelain appears to be beneficial and helps reduce swelling in nasal passage. Just be sure to talk to your doctor first, because bromelain may interact with other medications you’re taking. And you should follow the exact dosing instruction.

4) Take a steam:

Taking a steam can help moisten the sinuses. Sprinkle a few drops of eucalyptus or menthol in the shower and steam up your bathroom. A hit steamy shower or bath can also help to loosen up mucus and debris that is stuck inside your nose.

5) Drink lots of water:

Staying hydrated keeps your body healthy and helps in many ways, and also keeps your sinuses moist. Drink plenty of water throughout the day at least drink eight 8 ounce glasses of water a day. To know whether you are hydrated or not you will know it from your urine. If your urine is clear, you are hydrated.

6) Eat spicy food:

Spicy foods such as mustard, hot peppers, curry, horseradish, and wasabi may help clear sinuses. If you like spice, consider adding some hot spices to your meals to open nasal passages. spicy-food  

Know when to see the doctor:

If the sinus pain does not improve, you will have to see the doctor.  However if the sinus pain lasts for a week or more and if you have fever at that time, as well as you need to see an ear, nose, and a throat specialist, because you may need more heavy medical treatment than the natural remedies.
